Tashi Delek! Welcome to Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region. Upon arrival at Gonggar International Airport or Lhasa Railway Station, your guide will greet you with a khata scarf and escort you to your hotel in the city centre (approx. 60 km, 1–1.5 hours). After check-in, rest is strongly recommended for the remainder of the day to allow your body to acclimatize. [Altitude Reminder] Avoid strenuous activity on arrival day; do not shower that evening. Drink plenty of warm water and avoid alcohol and cigarettes. Inform your guide immediately if you feel unwell. [Foreign & Taiwan Visitors] Per regulations, a licensed guide must accompany you throughout all transfers.
